Squirting the Bitches

Description

Back in 2008 we rode in style out to the Bitches and the Whelps in Ramsey Sound. Hiring a jet boat from Nigel at Venture Jet was not only fun but saved us the paddle out in our squirt boats. The long boats ruled the main wave, Pete could paddle onto it and surf it in his Bigfoot long after the shorter boats were confined to the eddy. Big boils and jagged rocks made for a few nervous slam dunks and twitchy up-buttons, James lead the way. Going out on the boat meant I could take a 1.5x teleconverter on a 200mm lens to photograph the top wave from the rock. Back to St. Davids after the tide for a café breakfast.
